Apt Simpsons Line du Jour

Sometimes you turn on the TV and there's a line in an old Simpsons re-run that perfectly describes your state of being, no?

In last night's episode, Homer briefly lives in Grampa's old folk's home where they think he's someone named Cornelius Talmadge. Upon receiving Cornelius' pill cocktail, Grampa winks at him and says,

"The pink ones keep ya from screaming."

My favorite line comes in the episode when the kids are snowed into the school: Homer and Flanders knock over the salt silo at the cracker factory, which barrels down the hill spilling salt and melting the snow; the kids are finally free! Martin kneels down, dips his finger in the salt water and says, "with little help from our friend sodium chloride!"

Cut to: Nelson pounces on Martin with a shower of punches (thud-thud-thud!)

OR... the NYC episode: Homer stuffs himself on street cart food, is dying of thirst. "We've got Mountain Dew or Crab Juice."
Homer: "Oo-oh! Crab juice."

Almost any line spoken by Martin Prince is a guaranteed classic. A personal fave:

"No one hassles the bosom child of Nelson Muntz! Spring forth, burly protector, and save me!"

But most of the time the line that best describes my state of being (e.g. a dolt surrounded by smart people) comes from the Allison Taylor episode, when they play anagrams with her genius father and Lisa comes up with "Jeremy's iron."
